I was given a small part of a massive coin collection, and recieved many great coins. A 1923 S Peace Dollar, 17 Silver Half Dollars, 2 Silver Washington Quarters, 1 Barber Dime, 1 Buffalo Nickel, 1 Indian Head Penny, and several wheat pennies. The oldest wheat penny was from 1925. This was a great addition to my growing coin collection!

The Trillion Dollar Bet

In 1973, three brilliant economists, Fischer Black, Myron Scholes, and Robert Merton, discovered a mathematical Holy Grail that revolutionized modern finance. The elegant formula they unleashed upon the world was sparse and deceptively simple, yet it led to the creation of a multi-trillion dollar industry. Their bold ideas earned Scholes and Merton a Nobel Prize (Black died before the prize was awarded) and attracted the elite of Wall Street.

In 1993, Scholes and Merton joined forces with John Meriweather, the legendary bond trader of Salomon Brothers. With 13 other partners, they launched a new hedge fund, Long Term Capital Management, which promised to use mathematical models to make investors tremendous amounts of money. Their money machines reaped fantastic profits, until their theories collided with reality, and sent the company spiraling out of control. The crisis threatened to bring markets around the world to the brink of collapse.

10:14 pm dollar plane tickets and their hotel bill from reno's grand sierra resort for a six night stay costing taxpayers one-thousand dollars. records show felipe turned in a receipt for a 165 dollar steak dinner. and that's not all. using the county's credit card, we found comissioner felipe stopped by this reno sporting goods store--bought golf balls, a hat, sun glasses, 50 dollar polo too. the total: 146 dollars. on his expense report---he wrote he needed it because he "lost his luggage" felipe was in reno with his wife for a government conference. he refused to answer any of our questions about the trip. in march cibola's county manager, the county receptionist, and three county commissioners also wento washington d.c. for a government conference. taxpayers covered the 17- thousand dollar trip for them-and two of their wives. commissioner walter jaramillo's wife, romanita----and the

"we saved money for the county. because she's got the right to her own om. and her own perdiem. but she didn't. she slept in my room." commissioner walter jaramillo says his wife went because she works in the billing department of a private phsyical therapy clinic and wanted to talk to a congressman about health care. but jaramillos wife is not a county employee.
